The USBC MOBILE BOWLING ASSOCIATION, representing the national governing body (USBC), ensures the integrity and protects the future of the sport, provides programs, and services & enhances the bowling experience.

We are based out of Bowlero Mobile. We strive to create a safe and cohesive atmosphere for all bowlers in South Alabama. We provide tournament opportunities, leagues with great possibilities, and awards for our bowlers in Mobile. We are striving towards larger leagues, bigger prize funds, and more opportunities to grow as bowlers, coaches, and assets to the growth of bowling.

When did you start bowling?
" I bowled my first game in July 1961."

Where did start & how long have you been a member of the Mobile Association?
"I started bowling in 1965 after I got out of the Air Force."

Who & What got you started / Interested in bowling?
" On the way to Basic Training in July 1961. We had a four hour lay over in Atlanta. There was a center close to the Airport. I was hooked!
Who is your favorite bowler?
"Walter Ray Williams Jr."

What is your highest average / game / series?
" Highest Average: 203 / Highest Series: 786"

If you could go back and change anything in the Sport, what would do different?
"Nothing with the sport. The only issue is the language that is used by some."

What are your thoughts on the evolution of the game from when you started to what the game is now?
"All the centers had two shifts every night. There was a waiting list to join the Southern Men (Confederate Men). I had to wait a year and I am celebrating my 54th straight year in the league. We need to get younger people involved to make sure the Sport continues to grow."
